Ms. Devon B. Moore is a Principal in the California office of Moore & Lee, P.C., where her practice focuses on the defense of corporate and individual long-term care facilities and healthcare providers. She represents skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities for the elderly (RCFE), memory care providers, and hospice organizations in a wide range of complex litigation matters.
With more than a decade of experience in the long-term healthcare industry, Ms. Moore brings a unique and valuable perspective gained from representing clients on both the defense and plaintiff sides of litigation. She has successfully represented clients in matters involving allegations of elder abuse and neglect, dependent adult abuse, wrongful death, medical negligence, violations of patients’ rights, medical malpractice, personal injury, breach of contract, fraud, deceit, concealment, fraudulent concealment, forgery, intentional misrepresentation, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, COVID-19 exposure, and statutory violations. Her experience also includes handling claims related to the alleged negligent hiring, supervision, and retention of employees. In addition, she has represented acute care hospitals and has experience litigating matters involving physicians.
Throughout her career, Ms. Moore has guided clients through all stages of litigation, from case assessment and liability evaluation to mediation, arbitration, settlement negotiations, trial preparation, and trial strategy. She is known for her strong work ethic, professionalism, strategic approach to dispute resolution, and ability to navigate complex legal challenges efficiently and effectively.
In addition to her healthcare and long-term care litigation practice, Ms. Moore has handled a broad range of other legal matters, including construction defect and complex commercial litigation, homeowners’ association disputes, property management, premises liability, products liability, workers’ compensation, contract disputes, professional negligence, intentional torts, and business law. Her legal background also includes criminal law experience, having served as a certified law clerk with the Orange County Public Defender’s Office.
A Southern California native, Ms. Moore earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of California, Irvine in 2012. She received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Western State College of Law in 2015, where she earned consistent academic honors, including placement on the Honor Roll, Merit Scholarships, a Witkin Award, and a Criminal Law Certification with distinction. During law school, she interned with a law firm specializing in long-term healthcare litigation.
Ms. Moore was admitted to the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Nevada in 2016. In 2017, she passed the Uniform Bar Examination, making her eligible for admission in 28 additional jurisdictions.

Devon plays piano in the band “Sunnymoon”, and enjoys surfing, yoga, gardening, running, hiking, reading, and crocheting. She also loves spending time in nature and especially values spending time with her husband and son, along with their dogs, turtles, and chickens.
