Ms. Devon B. Moore is Of Counsel in Moore & Lee, P.C.’s California office. Her practice is focused on the defense of corporate and individual long-term healthcare providers, including claims against skilled nursing facilities, residential care facilities for the elderly (RCFE), memory care providers, and hospice providers.

Devon has over 8 years of experience as an attorney in the long-term healthcare industry and has the unique and valuable experience of working as both a defense attorney and plaintiff attorney in this area of the law. Devon has effectively represented clients both for and against claims of elder abuse and neglect, dependent adult abuse and neglect, wrongful death, medical negligence, violation of patients’ rights, medical malpractice, personal injury, breach of contract, fraud, concealment, intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress, exposure to COVID-19, breach of statutory duties, debt collections, and the negligent hiring, supervision, and retention of employees. She also has experience representing acute care hospitals and litigating against physicians. She has successfully assisted clients with case management, liability evaluations, litigation through trial, settlement negotiations, mediations, and conflict resolution.

Devon has worked as an attorney in various other legal fields, including representing contractors and subcontractors in construction defect claims and complex commercial litigation, homeowners’ association disagreements, property management law, premises liability, products liability, workers compensation, contract law, professional negligence, intentional torts, business law, sexual battery, assault, and criminal law, in addition to working as a certified law clerk at the Orange County Public Defender’s Office.

Devon is a Southern California native. She graduated from the University of California, Irvine, in 2012, earning a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In 2015, she received a Juris Doctorate degree and graduated Cum Laude from Western State College of Law and passed the California bar exam. During law school, she was an intern at a law firm specializing in the long-term healthcare industry, achieved Honor Roll and a Merit Scholarship each year, a Witkin award, and a Criminal Law Certification with distinction. In 2016, Devon was admitted to the State Bar of California and the State Bar of Nevada. In 2017, she passed the Uniform Bar Exam making her eligible for admittance into twenty-eight additional State Bars.

Devon enjoys playing piano and singing in the band “Sunnymoon”, yoga, meditation, gardening, half-marathons, snowboarding, wakeboarding, swimming, surfing, hiking, and golfing. She also enjoys traveling, attending concerts, museums, watching sports, the beach, and spending time with her husband and two dogs.
