Rachel E. Bauer is an associate at Moore & Lee, LLP. Her practice includes representing various parties in complex commercial litigation and government contracts disputes. Ms. Bauer’s government contracts work involves various industries, including aerospace, transportation, and translation services. Notably, Ms. Bauer worked as a member of a team that successfully protested the exclusion of a government contract hidden from the competitive range for an approximately $700 million WMATA contract. Ms. Bauer also represents major healthcare and long-term care institutions, including privately and publicly owned senior care providers, acute care facilities, insurers, and investment groups.
Ms. Bauer joined Moore & Lee following her graduation from American University Washington College of Law. In law school, Ms. Bauer worked as a student-attorney for the Janet R. Spragens Federal Tax Clinic, where she represented and worked towards settlements for low income clients being audited by the IRS. Ms. Bauer also has experience in financial regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining the firm as an associate, she worked at Moore & Lee as a summer associate where she was part of a trial team in a multi-week trial against a local government entity.
